Welcome to Nameology! We love naming things, & would be happy to name something for you ~ whether a new company, a restaurant, a cocktail, a fabric design, a pet, a fictional character, a piece of software, or a fabulous edible concoction. Our "Things We Have Named" page features some of our past projects. This page shows you what we're currently working on. Thank you for visiting, & we hope to get to know you better!
Horses
Socially Correct
A story we read about a Secretariat statue in Kentucky inspired us to name a horsey. Socially Correct is not exactly a thoroughbred, but that does not diminish her equine glory one bit. Socially Correct lives in Wyoming, which is as fine a place for horses as you could fathom.
We hope to keep up with Socially Correct's future pursuits, & wish her all the best.

Music
It's a good thing music is a leisurely pursuit. Three Partitas for a Piano Quartet is now one-third completed, with the second partita currently in the works. Felicitation in Gold will be the last to come, but, oddly, it is the only one that has already been named.
Stay tuned (we just love an obvious pun, don't you?) for further developments on the first finished partita.
Pause
Back to the trenches after all the celebratory holiday excitement. We took some time in an inspirational setting to ponder the individual Partitas. Still not sure if they want to be named in order, or if one will jump out & demand to be named immediately, leaving its siblings to follow its lead.
Music
The musical composition naming is coming along quite nicely. It's been agreed that the technical name is Three Partitas for a Piano Quartet, which sounds rather elegant, & leaves little room for doubt. Each individual partita will have a name of its own, a feat we may undertake before naming the entire effort, as, sometimes, the parts will dictate the whole.
A Research Break
It's a pretty quiet, mellow Sunday here at Nameology Central, so we're brushing up on our Newspeak with Mister Orwell (http://www.george-orwell.org/1984), hanging out on twitter, & wading through some of the musical research Bess compiled before she took off for the weekend. So far, this is our favorite find: http://goo.gl/FEtPJ
Music
For our newest project, we've been asked to name a musical composition. This'll take some time, so stay tuned (pun fully intended) for updates. For now, all we can say is that it's an orchestral futuristic fantasy aural narrative in three parts.
